Acrocanthosaurus was a large member of the Carcharodontosauridae family. As one of the largest predators of its time, it was a successful hunter that took on prey as large as sauropods. It was the apex predator of its time and it was distributed widely in North America

Paleo Chronicles

Acrocanthosaurus lived in the early Cretaceous period and was one of the largest therapods ever discovered. It measured around 38 feet in length and weighed around 5 – 6 tons. It was characterized by tall neural spines along its back that formed a hump or sail like structure. The purpose of this hump has been a subject of debate with its functions ranging from fat storage to thermoregulation.  It was a very efficient hunter that preyed on anything in its vicinity, even sauropods. Its teeth were designed to rip out chunks of flesh from its prey which might have been its preferred method of hunting large prey.

In Game Attributes

Acrocanthosaurus is an ambush predator that can employ either the Bleed or Infection status effects to finish of large prey. It has a decent amount of health but comparatively low stamina. It is very hardy and can survive for long periods of time without food and water due to the fat storage in its hump.
